Mereka berhasil membuat tentara Israel mengurungkan niat bertempur melawan tentara Lebanon setelah menghadang laju tank dan membubarkan militer Lebanon yang sudah siap tempur.
Aksi prajurit TNI di bawah bendera PBB itu terekam dalam video dari Lebanese Army di media sosial sekitar dua pekan silam. Dalam video berdurasi satu menit itu, tampak sejumlah prajurit TNI mengahadapi tank Merkava tentara Israel yang menerobos pagar pembatas kedua negara di Blue Line perbatasan di wilayah Adisa, selatan Lebanon.

Prajurit TNI menjadi pagar betis dengan berdiri di antara tank Israel dan tentara Lebanon. Prajurit TNI hanya menggunakan tangan kosong dan bendera PBB untuk mengusir tank Israel. Suasana di lokasi sangat mencekam, sebab tank Israel sudah siap membidik ke arah tentara Lebanon, sedangkan tentara Lebanon juga sudah bersiap menghancurkan tank dengan peluncur roket RPG.
Namun, tampak dalam rekaman para prajurit TNI dengan tenang memaksa tank Israel untuk berbalik arah dan meminta tentara Lebanon juga meninggalkan wilayah perbatasan. Hingga saat ini belum ada keterangan resmi dari Kontingen Garuda.
Setidaknya ada 200 personel Kontingen Garuda XXIII-M/United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL). Mereka bertugas selama satu tahun penuh di bawah bendera PBB.
