Kedai Kopi Milik WNI Jadi Korban Kerusuhan Aksi Bela George Floyd

Para perusuh memecahkan kaca depan kedai Dua Coffee, akibatnya kaca depan kedai pecah. Sang pemilik, Vivit Kavi langsung lapor polisi.

"Petugas memberi tahu kami bahwa kerusuhan terjadi setelah pukul 04.00 sore dan makin memanas Toko kami tutup pukul 2 siang kemarin dan kami keluar dari toko tepat sebelum jam 4 sore," ujarnya, Selasa (2/6/2020).

Meski kaca depan pecah, tapi perusuh tak sempat menjarah isi kedai karena kedai milik presenter alumni VOA Indonesia itu memiliki dua lapis kaca depan. "Jendela kami memiliki lapisan ganda dan kami lega lapisan dalam itu utuh. Mereka tidak bisa masuk," ujarnya.

Vivit merasa bersyukur toko, karyawan, dan para pengunjungnya selamat dan tak menjadi korban kerusuhan. Saat ini Dua Coffee menutup sementara layanannya sambil menunggu situasi membaik.

Catatan Kemlu ada sekitar 140.000 WNI yang tinggal di Amerika Serikat. Saat ini KBRI di Washington DC telah mengeluarkan imbauan dan terus melakukan komunikasi dengan para WNI.

"Seluruh WNI di AS yang berjumlah 142.441 orang saat ini berada dalam kondisi aman dan baik-baik. Tidak ada laporan terkait WNI yang terdampak akibat demo," ujar Kuasa Usaha Ad-Interim/Wakil Duta Besar RI untuk AS, Iwan Freddy Hari Susanto dalam keterangan tertulisnya, Selasa (2/6/2020).

Aksi unjuk rasa yang terjadi di berbagai negara bagian di AS, mulai dari wilayah Pantai Timur hingga Pantai Barat, telah memasuki hari ke tujuh. Sebagian telah menerapkan peraturan jam malam dan status darurat.
